It was revealed on 20th March that Jeon Ji Hyun will partner with famous jeans label, “True Religion Brand Jeans” to release “Gianna by True Religion” series.
“Gianna by True Religion” is named after Jeon Ji Hyun’s english name, Gianna and a total of 12 different cuts suitable for Korean women will be released. She will be involved in designing the jeans with additions like accessories, etc.
This is an event that is getting much attention as “True Religion Jeans” has chosen the “Most Suitable Female Star to wear Jeans in Asia”, Jeon Ji Hyun as their model and because it’s their first celebrity series by the jeans label.
“True Religion Jeans” has also taken into consideration Jeon Ji Hyun’s popularity and image in the Chinese-speaking market for other products and is preparing to launch “Gianna by True Religion” in China starting 2009.
“Gianna by True Religion” goes on sale today and will be available exclusively on SK Telcoms ”11th Street“. It’s expected to gain lots of attention and popularity.
True Religion Brand Jeans is an American premium clothing line and is currently available in America, Canada, Australia, Europe and 50 other countries. It is highly favoured by actresses Gyneth Paltrow, Cameron Diaz and supermodel Heidi Klum plus many other Hollywood stars.

Jeon Ji Hyun was born in Seoul, and studied in the Department of Theater and Film at Dongguk University. She began her career as a model in 1997, and after appearing in a number of TV sitcoms, her movie debut came in White Valentine (1999). This was followed by a role in Il Mare (2000), which proved to be a success. An American remake of Il Mare, The Lake House, was released June 14, 2006. However, her biggest breakthrough was in My Sassy Girl (2001), a romantic comedy that won her the Best Actress award at the Daejong Film Festival in 2002. In 2004, Jeon Ji Hyun starred in Windstruck, a 2004 South Korean fantasy-romantic comedy directed by Kwak Jae-yong. The film was a major success, ranking as the 8th-highest grossing Korean film of 2004. In 2006, she starred in Daisy, which did not do as well as her previous two latters.
Since her debut as a model for Echo, Jeon Ji Hyun has modeled for many fashion companies and more recently, in advertisements for mobile phones and cosmetics. Some of her more popular product endorsements include Giordano, Laneige, and Samsung Anycall.
In 2005, she became the first Korean artist to feature on the cover for the famous fashion magazine ELLE.
Jeon Ji Hyun will play the lead role of Saya Otonashi in the live-action version of Blood: The Last Vampire, which was filmed in China and Argentina in March 2007. It is slated for a Spring 2008 release.
